Quick first impression – face naturals

Published September 26, 2010 by whatsonmyface

I received a super special treat in the mail a couple of weeks ago from face naturals, a company that sells organic, all-natural skincare, with some products for me to test out and review. The awesome thing is before they sent out the products, they asked me a ton of questions about my skin type, concerns and troubles so they could make sure the items really would be useful for me.

They sent me the Soothe Mask for Sensitive Skin, which contains Australian Ivory and French Pink clays, both really mild, nourishing cleansers. Clay masks are great because they draw out impurities in your skin and open up your pores. I’m really excited to try this!

Here’s what the mask looks like in the jar. To use, you mix a teaspoon of the clay with 1 or 2 teaspoons of water and spread on your face.

They also sent a trial size of the 100% Pure Dead Sea Mud. I’ve tried products that contain Dead Sea mud, but I’ve never used just the mud on my skin. I’m really looking forward to the benefits of using, it though.

Here’s what face naturals says about Dead Sea mud:

Research has demonstrated that common skin ailments such as acne and psoriasis can be relived by regular treatment from the therapeutic salts and minerals found in the Dead Sea. Dead Sea mud has potent antimicrobial properties which may contribute to its ability to alleviate skin conditions. This natural clay has remarkable absorbent properties that reach deep into the pores, thoroughly removing the grime that impedes the nourishment of healthy skin. Through the process of reverse osmosis, minerals present in the mud feed the skin, tone and tighten the pores, resulting in a revitalized appearance. This silky soft mud allows for easy application, even coverage and easy removal.

You use this just like the clay mask, except you don’t have to add any water. You just spread this all over your face and neck, let it dry and rinse. Then, you follow up with a moisturizer, like…

This is the Organic Restore Daily Moisturizer for Dry Skin. Totally excited to try a new moisturizer, and this one contains organic avocado oil, organic apricot kernel oil, organic jojoba oil, organic meadowfoam seed oil, organic shea butter, organic lavender essential oil, organic aloe vera, olive wax, natural vitamin E extract, radish root ferment and organic rosemary leaf extract.

This is a really silky moisturizer, very lightweight and feels super smooth on my skin. I can definitely see myself using this every morning before applying my makeup and also in the evening after I use the Soothe Mask or Dead Sea Mud.

So excited to try these products and give you a full review soon! Check out face naturals to see all the products they have for all skin types (and look at the “try me” sizes! what an awesome deal to test out some products to see if they work for you before committing to buying a full size!).
