Holiday gift guide — what to give, and what to ask for!

Published December 20, 2010 by whatsonmyface

Yikes, did you know that you have less than a week left for Christmas shopping? I finished mine up last week, and thought I’d share with you a few things I picked up for some of those hard-to-shop-for people, and a couple things I hope are under the tree for me! :)

La Fresh Eco Beauty 8 Count Trial Pack – I was sent a few of these makeup wipes to test out a couple of months ago, and I love them! These would be really cute stocking stuffers — the trial kit includes one packet each of Waterproof Makeup Remover, Oil-Free Face Cleanser, Scented and Fragrance-Free, Acetone-Free Nail Polish Remover, Instant Body Soother, and three packets of Healthy Hand Sanitizer.

Leila Lou Gift Set – This is something you could get a very special person, whether it’s your mother, sister, best friend…or something to put on your wishlist! Every product in the Leila Lou line is made with 100 perecent essential oils and certified organic ingredients and packaged in 100 percent recycled/recyclable materials. Plus, the frangrance line includes hints of fresh cut grass and notes of tangerine and pear blossom — yum! The Leila Lou Gift Set includes a 2 oz .body lotion, 12 hour candle and 5ml fragrance oil and retails for $52.00.

bdellium Tools brush set – A few months ago, I received samples of this brush line to test out and review, and if you remember, I loved them at first glance. And, I’m still loving them and using them on an everyday basis! They are so high quality, soft and great to apply a ton of different products. I’ve washed mine several times and they remain super soft and sturdy. Plus, the sets come with an amazing brush roll that is worth the money even if you had to purchase it separately. I can’t say enough great things about these brushes, and I know I’d be a happy girl to find more of these under the tree!

Maggie’s Organics scarf and knee-highs – This is a company that sent me a couple of items a month or so ago, and the quality of their fair-trade, organic clothing and accessories is amazing. Plus, they’re super stylish (I’ll feature these in an outfit of the day soon so you can see how it all looks on). I love that these knee highs and scarf are made of environmentally sustainable materials, so I can feel good about wearing them, and I can feel great about telling people where I got them when I get a compliment — which I have many times!

Magazine subscriptions – No link for this one because it depends on which magazine you’re getting a subscription for, but if you do some Google research before ordering, you can find some amazing deals! I’ve gotten subscriptions for some magazines for $10 or less! I buy People and US Weekly almost every week, so for a person like me, a year’s subscription would be such a treat. There’s a magazine out there for almost every interest, so you’re bound to find one that fits the taste of the person you’re shopping for, and it’s a gift that goes beyond just one day or one use.
